About Bag of Holding
Bag of Holding is a free, browser-based D&D 5.5e character and campaign manager for character sheets, spellbooks, dice, shops, spatial inventory, and battle maps for your party.
What it does
- Grid inventory. Drag, rotate and pack items into a backpack grid. Containers have their own interiors. It will track the weight for you automatically.
- Character sheet. Abilities, skills, combat stats, class features and species traits, with multiclassing, statuses, and sections you can drag into your own layout.
- Spellbook. Spell slots worked out from the multiclass spellcaster rules, Warlock Pact Magic kept separate, and a searchable list of spells to pick from.
- Dice. Build a handful of mixed dice, roll with advantage or disadvantage, and share rolls with the table.
- Coins and shops. A coin purse, plus shops the GM stocks and reveals for the party to buy from.
- Campaigns. A GM and their players share one table: live presence, chat, and each other's character sheets.
- Battle maps. Import a map, line a grid up on it, drop creatures on the board, track initiative, and let fog of war hide what the party can't see.
- Homebrew. Write your own items, classes, subclasses, species and spells, and enable them for one character or a whole campaign.
- Light and dark themes, plus an accent colour of your choice.
How it works
There's nothing to install. The app runs in your browser and works fully signed out, saving your characters to that browser as you go. A free account adds two things: cloud save, so your characters follow you between devices, and party play, so you can run or join a campaign with your group!
